Sunshine State Party People!

I know...I'm SO behind with blogging for LF Events...and will be moreso, now that I've relocated to Savannah. SO - for my farewell to LF Events, for now, here's the picture from our
Martha Stewart, Dreamers Into Doers, Sunshine State Party People - November 2011 brunch!

You can follow me on my personal blog, pink horseshoes - I'm going to be starting a new journey, in Savannah, Georgia! Thanks for all your support.

What I've been up to!

Hi Friends!
Lately, I've been super busy with some LFE related stuff & some personal fun!

Over the holiday weekend...I made a 5 layer rainbow cake along w/ homemade butter cream! I think it turned out GREAT for my first attempt. I was practicing for my daughter's birthday party in 3 weeks...but I actually didn't like the "look" of the cake & so I'm not going to do it for her party!
My kids DID love the cake & it's almost gone!

So, like I said, I've been working on major planning & details for my daughter's 2nd birthday, on the 25th! Of course, she isn't nearly as concerned as I am, but I want everything to look perfect...so I have 3 separate lists to work from. The "to-buy" list, the "to-make" list, & then the "i-wish" list! Last night, I made a mini-cake topper bunting! I am so proud of it...& it was so easy! I will share all those details soon enough!

And last, I'm working on a 3-day extravaganza party for my best friend. It's 3 days, in another city, no details spared! I'm getting more & more excited about the details & planning! (good thing I'm invited!!)
Here's a picture of the resort & spa we're going to stay at!

So, that's about it...for now! More to come soon!

It's Wedding Wednesday - Recap Style!

As most of you know, I've been planning and coordinating my VERY first client's wedding now, almost exactly a year ago, I started!
She was a fun, DIY, budget bride...with lots of COLOR behind her vision.
I've shared along the way everything...
from our dream boards, to the dresses, to the venues.

The past Saturday, was THE big day!
There were a few minor issues throughout the day...
but almost ALL of the day was perfect!
From the singers at the church, she walked down the aisle to "So Amazing" by Luther Vandross, performed by an amazing vocalist...to the jumping of the broom...to the brightness & POP of the tangerine & fuschia reception venue! There was so much personalization EVERYWHERE.
An entry way of pictures, from when the couple first met
to a double dose of engagment shots!
some dancing shoes...tangerine uplighting...
a custom-made (by the groom!) card box...
and a "love is sweet" cookie buffet - with milk!
AND - there was no garter taken off, no bouquet thrown,
& DEFINITELY no money dancing!
& I was very PROUD of the bride for deciding against those OH-SO traditonal elements!

I'm going to share a few sneaks that the catering company sent me,
to hold me until the photographer sends his over!

But first, I just want to say that this entire experience, from start to finish, was a "dream" for me in so many ways. I had an idea..."I think I wanna be a wedding planner..." inspired at that time, over a year ago, by a few fun celeb planners! I NEVER imagined I would get the chance to see if my "idea" was going to be the "it" thing for me. I always seem to go in circles with what I want to be when I grow up...& decided to persue this, start LF Events, & make a go of it. Although, I have a VERY long, long way to go with my business....I'm proud of what I've accomplished in a year! I am dedicated to working harder & smarter to achieve more and more of my goals! I have met a few of the best in the business, and I let their words of motivation & inspiration continue to guide me!

....so on with a few pictures!

I will put up more pictures once I get some more!
Have a great rest of the week!

Wedding in the City ~ Dream Board!

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Today, I'm sharing a dream board, inspired by a friend,
who's dreaming of a NYC wedding!
I hope you all enjoy the CORAL, TAUPE, & PURPLE...
and definitely all CITY-CHIC!

I'm Baaaack!

Hi Everyone!

I'm back....& better than ever!
I've had my first wedding as a planner & am ready to get LF Events officially launched!

Tonight, my website LF Events went LIVE!
A special thanks to two very important & amazing designers, who have helped me get my business where I wanted it to be before I launched!
Kori w/ Paper & Pigtails  &  Michele w/ Intrigue Design Group !

I'm working on an amazing "Wedding in the City" inspiration board for a friend,
that I will have up by Friday!

That's all for now!

It's been almost a month since my last post...
I've been so busy being a wife, mom, employee,
& wedding planner that I've neglected my blog!

Just a few things to share...

My latest fun project! Making cake pops!
I'm not a PRO by any means...but these came out so cute & I am very proud of them!
I made these for my friend's daughter's 1st birthday...

And, I've decided to take a BLOGGY break!
(not that I'm around much on here anyways...)
I stress every day wondering what to blog about...when not very much is happening with LF Events right now that I can "show off"! BUT, things are happening behind the scenes! I've consulted a wedding planning business coach, I'm writing up all my important documents (biz plan, services, pricing, etc...) & also continuing to plan my August bride's wedding weekend! AND - next month I'm doing a 4 day apprenticeship with a local event planning company! I need to learn, research, absorb, & do all this the RIGHT way! I'm so motivated & ready to PLAN away...that I've forgotten some KEY elements to having & maintaining a successful business!

So - this is my last post for awhile...so I can get my act together!
Thanks to all of you for your support...

TALK & BLOG soon!

Wedding Wednesday - LOVE IS SWEET!

It's COOKIE time!
At least for my bride & her groom! She's moved away from a traditional 3 tiered cake...AND on to a cookie, cupcake, & smaller cake type of dessert table! I am actually a HUGE fan of dessert tables & LOVE sweets...so this was GREAT news for me! She sent me a photo of one she is a "fan" of (top photo!) & then I found a few more. She is going with the theme LOVE IS SWEET...which just makes this table all the more SWEETER!! AUGUST is coming fast, we're in the 5 month countdown now...

Wifey - Mondays!

I've been sick the past week...& am ready to get back to business!
Today's post is sharing a salad dressing recipe & sharing my newest purchases!

First, the recipe!

I didn't actually make it, hubs did! He's VERY picky with dressing,
so he decided to make his own!
He created a WONDERFUL Greek salad...lettuce, onions, feta, ham, & greek peppers...
And topped it off with this dressing! SO quick & yummy!!

Next, I want share a few of my purchases to help benefit the hubs...in a few different ways!
I joined E-MEALZ!

So far - I love it. I got 2 weeks worth of menus yesterday & went & got the ingridients to make a few this week! I'm so excited. It was so easy to sign up & $15 for 3 months will pay off with easy recipes, shopping lists, & a happy man!!

Which is why I HAD to go & buy this next thing!
If I'm going to cook more...I needed to look CUTE in the kitchen!!
So, I got a
Flirty Apron!
Here's the one I ordered! I can't wait for it to arrive!
I'm pretty certain hubs is going to LOVE it!

This will be short & sweet!

Here it is!!
I can't say THANK YOU enough to
Kori, from
Paper & Pigtails, for this amazing design!
She took my vision for LF Events to a new level, it's simply amazing, & SHE is simply amazing!

Wedding Wednesday...on Thursday!

Happy March!
This is my ABSOLUTE favorite month...of course, my birthday is this month!

Here's my LATE Wedding Wednesday post...showing off more elements of the wedding I'm currently planning. I just LOVE the Tangerine & Fuchsia colors together!

Mens Wear - Reception Tables - Cake -
(unfortuntely, I can't find the cake table picture again! This is just a sample of what she wants it to look like, following her colors & theme, LOVE! I would love to link back...so, if anyone knows, let me know!)

Happy Thursday & Have a great rest of the week!

I LOVE theme days!

I think they're fun, gives you something to look forward to,
and also very helpful when blogging!
I've been pondering how to "title" Mondays...and then it hit me! I'm a wedding planner & coordinator. BUT, once you're married, then what? What do you do? I just celebrated my 8th month of marriage, I search online for date ideas (with a toddler close by!) & I look for easy & delicious meals to prepare...you get my drift!
So, to help me & the brides I may have the priviledge of working with,
Mondays will now be called...

Mondays will include all things that may help any wife! I have one bride right now, who I've become very close with, we've built a friendship as we plan her special & fabulous wedding day! I can only hope after the rings are exchanged, she, along with my future brides, can visit back here & get some helpful tips or even share their own!

I will share links & pictures & recipes & kids stuff...and also my own "Wrap-Up" of my week as a wife! I hope you all find this new "theme" as fun as I do! Even if you're not a wifey - Hopefully you'll find some small parts that can apply, even a simple recipe can come in handy for anyone!

Since this post is quite long...today's post will just be a quick one!

Here's the cologne I bought my man for LOVE day! He really liked the smell, as for me?
I didn't at first, and purely bought it because he wanted it.
A few weeks into it...like 5 uses, I actually like it! You may want to take a sniff*

Make it a wonderful week!

Wedding Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!
Everyone always showcases fun weddings on "Wedding Wednesday"...
SO - I decided to show off some previews of the one I'm currently planning!
The colors - Fuschia & Tangerine!

Here's the board so far!

Next week, I will highlight the reception tables, possible cakes,
mens wear, & the bride's dress!

Ficticious Name Filing - CHECK!

I just filed the registration for my ficticious name.

I'm feeling totally commited to this, so I just had to share!
Hope you're all having a Terrific Tuesday!!

Current *LF* Events!

  Hi Everyone!

Last week, I had a LF Events meltdown! I decided I didn't like my logo...and that I needed to recreate myself or just forget this idea altogether!
In the middle of that "mini" crisis, I was planning to meet about 20 crafty, creative, & fun ladies in Orlando...and realized, I had to get my act together! So I did.

*here we all are!*

So, after meeting the ladies, I'm completely inspired & ready to recreate LF Events. It's hard work with an (almost) full-time corporate job, a husband, 3 kids, & just to ice the cake, we're moving this weekend, which is long overdue, since we've been living with family for almost a year so my hubs could finish school! Some days, I just can't find 10 minutes to blog or read all my tweets, or Facebook statuses from everyone...I often thought I was alone, until talking to the ladies this past weekend. I know now, some of us share a lot more than our love for entertaining/crafting/planning/styling/etc...!

In the coming weeks, I will be working (with help!) on my new logo. Until then, I will try to blog a bit more & update you on the planning of my 1st client's wedding, which will be in August. I also had to nix the big 32 party, as my birthday falls right after St. Patty's Day & a handful of my friends seem to be full of plans already. So, I will do something simple with the other handful of friends, perhaps a fun pool party! I may have to hire on some of my new party friends for decor & fun sweet treats!! How exciting!
That's all for now! Go visit my party friends' pages & leave them some love! And check back with me as I embark on a new adventure...with lots of fun along the way!

Make it a wonderful week!!

So...today is Tuesday...a day that comes every week & drags on...and on...
A friend at work & I have called it "Terrible Tuesday" for years....hoping one week it would get better & trying to find ways throughout the day to make it more "terrific"!

Well, today I found 2 things to turn my "terrible" into "terrific"!

First, I got an email from DSW, which was showcasing their new line of shoes,
 from the Miss. America pageant!
I found a handful of shoes from that collection alone that I MUST HAVE!

Here's some of my faves:

You can find these shoes HERE!

And then....after a few hours later I decided I needed a real pick me up!

So, at my office, we have this fancy-pants coffee/tea maker. You buy a "flavor" from a vending machine, for 50 cents & put the packet into a machine & put your cup underneath, and out comes your fresh cup of hotness!
I've started to get one around 3:00 everyday!

Today, I tried a new flavor....and found my "terrible" Tuesday instantly became "terrific"!

My new-found flavor of choice is...

So - if you ever find your Tuesdays aren't so "terrific" - just look around you...in an email or the vending machine & hopefully your Tuesday
will turn out to be not-so-terrible, just like mine did!
Hopefully ~
next Tuesday I will have the same "luck" in staying on the "terrific" side of the day!!

Have a great rest of the week!!

2011 Goals!

 Here’s the long-awaited list of goals I
have set for the  first 6 months of 2011!
It’s taken a few weeks to get these completed.
I had a meeting with one of my good friends/business & life coach, she helps keep me focused & also helped prioritize my list of things I want & need to accomplish to get LF Events launched, here is that list! (
Thanks, D~)

* Finalize all “legal” paperwork
* Join local networking group
* Get more “BLOG” friendly
* Finish website
* Continue education with classes in Marketing/Entrepreneurship & certification courses for Wedding & Event planning
* Build relationships with local vendors
* Plan a June/July official “launch” party
* Finalize the planning & coordination for my first bride, who is getting married in August!

I will update you all with my progress! I hope to have a fun & fabulous 2011, as I take my dream to a new level! I wish you all the best with your goals in this new year as well!

Getting Motivated!

Hi Everyone & Happy 2011!

One of my main goals this year is to lose some post-baby pounds! I have gained a total of about 195lbs, with all 3 of my kids! When I was 19 & 20, it seemed much easier to get rid of those extra pounds than it's been this time around. SO - I've decided to find motivation from outside sources & get on board to lose these pounds, before my daughter turns 2, in September!

I found a new product, the
Baboosh Body, by Brooke Burke. I used it today for the 1st time & loved it! In the last 10 days, I've worked out 5. That's not bad, considering the last time I was at the gym, was last Summer! I commited to 4-5 days a week, in my list of 2011 goals!

I also decided for the first 3 1/2 months (until my March 18th birthday...)
I would become a vegetarian. I was a vegan for almost 8 years, and was in the best shape & felt healthy & just overall fabulous! I don't want to go over board with that just yet, but so far, 10 days into being vegetarian, I am feeling great!

So, as we go into the second week of the new year...I wish you all luck with your goals & staying motivated!

I will go into my goals for LF Events in my next post!

Stay Tuned...&...Have a great week!
